Cashew trees grown from seeds start flowering and fruiting after about 4-5 years, and 3 years if grafted.

Typically, the tree forms a canopy when it is 1 – 1.5 years old and is pruned annually. When the tree enters the fruiting stage, it should be pruned twice a year: first after harvesting combined with weeding, and second in September (end of the rainy season)
